Korean food

Yeahh.. just now reading my previous blog posts and it reminds me of the Korean food... hehehe.. I went to Se Ra Bel Korean Restaurant last Friday 'cos after I called them, they said they sell 'rice cake' for BBQ. When we reached there and asked, found out that the rice cake that they sell is different from what was on my mind but eventually, the cook was making it right away, but instead of made of rice, it was made of flour, a bit chewy, but still nice.. We had pork belly and beef bulgogi for BBQ, tofu soup, and chap jae (fried Korean vermicelli noodle). It was nice, but I found it very very very very expensive... It costs us almost 100 bucks for that dinner... which made me realised on how expensive eating at the restaurant and why wouldn't I cook it myself?? So... last Saturday evening, I went to Bugis to buy the ingredients for the Korean food, such as sesame oil, chilli powder from Korea, sauce for BBQ meat, the bowls for tofu soup, dried vermicelli, soup seasoning for tofu soup too, and we even bought the hot plate for BBQ-ing. I will take the gas stove from my sis-in-law this weekend (my mom bought it but she didn't use it, so she brought it back to S'pore and gave it to my sis-in-law, and since my sis-in-law didn't use it as well, she decided to give it to me.. thank you so... hehehe...), then so far, I've tried on how to make the tofu soup myself (instead of paying $14.50 for the soup), and also how to cook the Chap jae (costs $12.00 for a very small portion). And when we ate it at home (w/ my mother-in-law, sis-in-law, hubby, bro-in-law), they like it very much leh... =D Cheng Gong!!!! Actually plan to make BBQ this weekend, but since we have another thing to do.. so I guess we will cancel our plan... and make it next time...
Actually I like to cook.. by eating it, I can imagine on how it was made.. (of course not to all food), but some, can lor.. but lots of them, I can't .. hahahaha... Still remember the time when I was still so young, my father always asked me to go to the kitchen and help up.. Seeing is also learning for him.. So, I saw how the food was cut, cook, how to smash the chilli w/ all other ingredients, etc., which I think.. give me some benefit, cos obviously, not everyone knows or willing to do it.. hehehehe.... *at least, I'm still a normal girl.. hahahaha... although not everyday cook, but at least I like to try something new.. kekekeke..
Ok lah.. talking about food made my stomach hungry... hihihihii... Gotta stop writing now.. otherwise my stomach will sing all along.. yeahhhh!!!!

Nice sleep...

Yesterday reaching home about 9pm, taking a bath, washing my hair, watching a TV serial, I went to bed while listening to the song sung in year 30's / 40's. Hard to sleep in the beginning, and after turning off the CD, then I really had a nice sleep plus small dream to wake me up from real life... hehehe.. Nice weather.. it was raining at nite... cool.. hm... just love it.
7 hours were never enough for me, but today is fine. Yeah, this morning, checking my mail, and found lots of email from my last long friends talking about what they wanna talk about.. hehehe.. then chat with one of them, my cousin, my sis, etc.. and my friend, who is coming to Indo later, is willing to help me buying thing that I want.. hehehe.. something very special for me.. ;P Nice smell.. just love the smell.. not parfum.. nor lotion.. hehehe..
Gotta be busy this weekend. Tomorrow I'm gonna meet my friend.. Saturday having a plan go to EXPO to see COMEX show w/ my friend, and Sunday afternoon gotta having lunch on my sis's bday.. busy busy.... what a busy and wonderful weekend.. hehehehe.. hopefully weather will still be cool!!! =)

Sleepy day...

Yeah... feel very sleepy.. now.. hahahhaa... after lunch mah...
I bought fried kway teow for my breakfast, but I couldn't finish it so I took the rest as my lunch. hehehe... then I went out and sat at the riverside, it's actually a restaurant seating, but they only opened in evening time. It is a nice place to sit facing a river directly, reminds me the time when I was staying in Geneva. At there, I also like to sit in lakeside, see the nice panorama of the calm water, birds, ducks, etc. But almost felt asleep 'cos they have a shade to block the sun shine and the wind just blows nicely... I bought an ice cream bar, Korean brand, chocolate filling with chocolate outer layer w/ nuts. Finished it in less than 5 mins.. hehehe... then drink water.. And now feel very sleepy... Last nite I slept 10.30pm, after watching serial movie on TV. Tomorrow I supposed to meet my ex-colleague, but she couldn't make it, so we will only meet on Friday.
*sigh... now.. back to work... Ciao

Blue October: Hate Me

(If you're sleeping are you dreaming
If your dreaming are you dreaming of me?
I can't believe you actually picked me.)
(”Hi Justin, this is your mother,
and it's 2:33 on Monday afternoon.
I was just calling to see how you ware doing.
You sounded really uptight last night.
It made me a little nervous, and a l... and... well... it made me nervous,
it sounded like you were nervous, too.
I just wanted to make sure you were really OK,
And wanted to see if you were checking in on your medication.
You know I love you, and...
Take care honey
I know you're under a lot of pressure.
See ya. Bye bye”)
I have to block out thoughts of you so I don’t lose my head
They crawl in like a cockroach leaving babies in my bed
Dropping little reels of tape to remind me that I’m alone
Playing movies in my head that make a porno feel like home
There's a burning in my pride, a nervous bleeding in my brain
An ounce of peace is all I want for you. Will you never call again?
And will you never say that you love me just to put it in my face?
And will you never try to reach me?
It is I that wanted space
Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me for all the things I didn't do for you
Hate me in ways
Yeah ways hard to swallow
Hate me so you can finally see what’s good for you..
I’m sober now for 3 whole months it’s one accomplishment that you helped me with
The one thing that always tore us apart is the one thing I won’t touch again
In a sick way I want to thank you for holding my head up late at night
While I was busy waging wars on myself, you were trying to stop the fight
You never doubted my warped opinions on things like suicidal hate
You made me compliment myself when it was way too hard to take
So I’ll drive so fucking far away that I never cross your mind
And do whatever it takes in your heart to leave me behind
Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me for all the things I didn’t do for you
Hate me in ways
Yeah ways hard to swallow
Hate me so you can finally see what’s good for you
And with a sad heart I say bye to you and wave
Kicking shadows on the street for every mistake that I had made
And like a baby boy I never was a man
Until I saw your blue eyes cry and I held your face in my hand
And then I fell down yelling “Make it go away!”
Just make a smile come back and shine just like it used to be
And then she whispered “How can you do this to me?”
Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me for all the things I didn’t do for you
Hate me in ways
Yeah ways hard to swallow
Hate me so you can finally see what’s good for you
For you
For you
For you
[Children voices:]
If you're sleeping, are you dreaming,
if you're dreaming are you dreaming of me.
I can't believe you actually picked me
[Girl:] Hey Justin! [x12]
Knowing this song from kissfm again and I like it. The music is very nice. Even I sang it out this afternoon on my desk.. hehehe... kinda in good mood today... *My friend said, because today's menu is very nice (rendang beef, sambal egg, and lady finger). Well.. maybe that's one part of it, and my period is coming too t'day but perhaps that changes my mood as well 'cos these few days my moods were really swinging and mostly bad.. hahahaha...
K'lah.. if u happened listen to this song.. open my blog and sing it.. okay??? =D

Brown Boy: Superman

I know you're hurting right now
Don't worry
I'll be your superman(no, no)

I can love you like no one can
I can be your superman(superman)
just take my hand let's fly away
I promise I'll be there everyday
just close your eyes let's start to fly
I'm gonna love you until I die(till I die)
Until the day of my death to my very last breath
I'm gonna love you when no ones left

Come fly with me baby
Yeah I'm the one
With the S on my chest
Forget about your ex
He don't know what love is
He just failed the test
Plus he don't treat you right
He keeps you crying all night
See, hes like your kryptonite
I came to give you their strength
So you can leave him behind
You can start all over
Just press rewind
Cause he don't understand that you're one of a kind
So sweet, so sexy and just so fine
I will fight to my death just to make you mine
I will never neglect you
Never have time to stress you
And always respect you
Girl you like a hidden treasure
and I promise to love you
From now until forever
O para siempra mija
te prometo te voy amar
hasta la muerte

I'm the type of guy
That will stand by your side
To wipe them tears when they fall from your eyes
I'm the one you hold when your nights is cold
The one that stays near to fight away your fears
You aint gotta be scared
See I put an end to your ex
No more beating you up (nuh uh)
Or pulling on your hair
See I came to save the day
A man like that should'nt treat you that way
And I don't understand why'd you take that route?
Look at yourself
Your beautiful inside and out
You need to drop that zero (uhh)
Let me swoop you off your feet
Cause I can be your superhero
Do you follow my lead?
I guarantee you baby
I'm all that you need
See, you can change your plans
All you got to do is call on me and I can be your superman

Will you be by my side for the rest of my life?
For the rest of my life
Will you love me till I die?

No ones left
Till no ones left
Till no ones left
Gonna love you
Gonna love you
My superman
My superman

This one and that one... Confusing???

What exactly couple do in daily life? Go everywhere together, do everything together?? What about private time that each other should have? In moderate amount? How moderate the moderate is??
I knew this couple. One always follows one's hobby, no matter hot or rain, no matter day or night. Sometimes, the other one felt that what the hell this one is doing?? Well.. this person does it very often, and made the other one angry, disappointed, lonely, tired, and many other feelings when you feel alone.
Other couple. One gives too much freedom. The other one always can do whatever one likes, without getting disturbed by the that one. Too much freedom, 'til this one does everything oneself, alone, included sleeping at nite, which supposed they do together. Sometimes, when this one needs accompany, the other one just leave it to this one and asking this one to go with some other one, friend, for example, which annoys this one, 'cos, what the heck one is doing? Give too much freedom 'til everything also must be done oneself, while the other one does everything one likes with ones' friends too??
Another one. One always sticks around whenever or whatever the other one does, except when one goes our to work. The only time the other one has, whenever this one goes to toilet, but somehow, even that one still follows 'cos that one doesn't want to leave this one any single minute, always wanna be together. Where is the other one's freedom to do things that one likes????
Confusing? Not really.. but how to balance life from giving freedom and not giving freedom? How to make both party are really happy with their lives?? Can both compromise in its own on how much to give and not???
At the end, life sucks... kekekekekeke..... sorry, but it's true.
But when you decided to be alone... you'll feel very lonely and all the disappoinment will rise again.. no matter what.. you still need another one to accompany you in life.. Needn't you??

Good & bad news

Today, I have good & bad news.
Good news is.. I passed my June's exam.
When my friend told me that the result has come out, I started feeling nervous. My heart sounds 'dag dig dug' quite hard. I was expecting my friend to check the result for me, but since it took so long, I decided to check it out myself. It's been long time that I didn't care for my study (after finishing the exam, exactly). I tried to forget everything and didn't bother about anything related to my study. Enjoyin' my holiday trip, relaxing at home, so that I even forgot which exam paper that I took for my last exam. So, when I opened my email, I only saw 61, Pass.. I was still thinking at that time.. where were the other numbers? Why is there only one number.. then I just realise something.. I looked at the paper name, and it was written 2.3, Pass, 61 marks.. Hwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa................... Can't believe it that it's true!! I was expecting 'Fail' and 36 marks something, 'cos like what I said in previous blog (if I'm not wrong), the question of the exams were really killing me. Lots of questions were not taught by my teacher, and I really had no clue on how to deal with it. I just answered the best that I could and never I expect that I still get 61 marks for it. My previous exams were average 63 marks, it was only different 2 marks from it, which really surprised me and wonder where those marks were coming from and thanks SB for everything. Actually, if I found this to be 'fail', I will stop studying. *I'm not that presevere with myself and even yesterday when my sis-in-law asking me about it, I told her, working in finance might not be suitable for me too, it's kinda a boring job to do. So, that's why I was thinking, if this one failed, then I may not waste any more effort and money to continue my study. Somemore, I have to repeat something that I've learnt before.. it's kinda.. not used to it..
Bad news is I lost a bet with my friend. We actually made a bet. I told my friend, if I 'fail', then this friend of mine will buy new clothes for my bear and if I 'pass', then it's me who will buy new clothes for her bear.. hahahahhaa... And since I 'pass', I have to buy the bear's clothing for her. And she realised one thing, that I will never win any bets that we've made. I always a lose party... =P That's also why, I told her, that I will never buy so much 4D, or TOTO, 'cos I don't have this type of luck winning something.. too bad, oh??? Must work or got presents from someone to earn anything, which is very good already for me..
Now, it's time for me to think, whether to take another exam this round, or wait for next round. See first lah.. ok? Let me think about it...
Just finish my work. I just scanned lots of things today, really really exhausted now and needs enough rest to lose that strain in my brain... Let me relax for a while before doing something else, ok??? Ciao

Another weekend has passed

On Saturday, chat and talk with a friend through Internet. In the evening, I went to my friend's house for having instant noodle, and drink Absolut Peach plus orange juice, and of course, a pack of chips while having a chit chat mostly about problems I encounter. Girls talk mah... At the end, no solution. Still it depends on me to decide as she was only providing her ears for me to listen and sympathise with the problem I face. We didn't talk much as her aunt went back home around 9pm. We watched TV series until finished, and I went back home.
Reached home, took a bath, and have a nice sleep soonafter.
On Sunday, chat for a while. Finished reading my second novel already =)
At 2.30 pm, I got ready for BBQ Steamboat, celebrating my sis-in-law's cousin's b'day, at Marina South. We took MRT and bus to reach there around 4pm. Lucky we didn't go there so early as it only opened at 4.30pm. The weather was hot but as the sun went down, it got cooler. All you can eat buffet. It costs $12/adult and $5/child. Not so bad. We ate 'til 7pm then went back home. Again, took a bath, dried my hair, and slept.
Today, my exam's result will come and I knew from the very beginning that I'm going to fail. So, don't take it so hard, hopefully. And this evening I'm going to meet my chatting's bro, whom I know for about 9 years. We will have dinner somewhere, with his wife too..
Ok then.. got continuing my job now.. very very busy today... *sigh...

Heloooo... meet again!!!
I already informed my mom about my plan of going back home next month. Oops.. before that.. yeah.. I already booked a ticket for 2 (me & my bebe) to Jakarta next month on 21 Sep and return on 24 Sep. The flight is at 8pm, so I think I have to go to the airport directly from the office since I only can go off at 6.15pm and I need my sis help to bring my son to the airport together with my luggage and check in for me first, otherwise, I would be late... Hope that she can make it...
Yeah.. I also email some friends through fs, that we'll have a reunion next month and some can make it and some can't. One of my friends just gave birth on 2 Aug, wah... really good for her 'cos it's been long time no news and suddenly told me this.. hehehe...
And what makes me more exciting is that.. I can eat lots of food again back in Jakartaaaa.. huwahwahawhhawhaaw.... which means.. I'm getting fatter too.. hiks hiks hiks.. but this time I must strike... hahahahhahahaha..... =PPP
Just hope everything is going fine.
The location has not been decided yet but date and time, yes.. I also contacted one friend who stays in LA, but when she's back home in Jakarta, we stay quite nearby and she is willing to bring me along on her transport 'cos I can't drive and not knowing the road very well after so long.. If near, I still can ride my father's motorcar, but if far, I have to ask other to give me a ride. I hope it won't be a problem too..
Hm... very exciting!!! Gotta bring my camera and make sure 1 GB will be enough for a nite.. hehehehe... Oklah.. gotta work again... Ciao

Movies' month

This week, I've been to movies twice. On Tuesday, I watched 'Click', 'cos my one of my friends recommended me to watch it since it's a good one. The film is about a guy with a remote control, which can fast forward, pause, rewind, and higher or lower the sound, or mute, which is not only for TV, DVD Player, and so on, but on everything that he pointed out using this remote. This thing even can do so for human being, including his life. And the remote can record automatically the habit of the guy, such as avoid being sick, avoid taking bath, avoid massaging, etc. It continues on and on 'till he became old, sick, and dying. By the time he realised, it was all too late, 'cos he had missed all the good and bad times that he had in life. He missed his father, he divorced with his beautiful wife, missed all the times spent with family, and many more.. Yes, he became very successful in his career, but at the end of the day, because of his hard work, he didn't even bother about people surrounding him that loves him very much. And luckily, it was all only happened in his dream, that made him realised, that in life, work, promotion, success were not everything and the most important in life is the time spent with families, with his wife, children, parents and everything that happens are everything.
The movie was mixture of fun and sad thing. Not bad, ah?
Yesterday I watched 'Ant Bully'. Well, not so nice.. Kinda mixture of 'Ants' and 'Over the hedge' for its story line.
And next Tuesday, my friend invites me to watch 'Devil wears Prada'. I saw the novel many times, but never read it before and since my friend has a free ticket, then I will go for it.. hehehe.. Otherwise.. my pocket will leak faster and faster 'till everything is gone.. hahahaha...
Actually I plan to watch 'Ghost Game' with her, but I don't think it has been launched yet.. so.. see la.. if it's really nice, then I will go for it, and probably I will watch it within this month, again. That's why the title for this blog is Movies' month.. 'cos normally, I seldom watch movie in cinema.. Cost me lots of money and short excitement.. hehehe...
Write til here then.. Ciao

Hm.. believe in fate? Yeah?? Really???
Moreover, nowadays everything is connected one to another.. Friendster is really a very good invention for that!!! B'cos of it, I can connect to lots of people, including my primary school friends, back in 16 years ago!!! Some, I can't remember.. Some, I still remember them.. And some, really never heard before although we spent 6 years there within the same place to study. Funny rite?
And they've planned to meet up together, which is called 'reunion'. In the beginning, they plan to meet up on 26 August, which is next Saturday. But some responds that they couldn't come and another friend will go back Jakarta only next month, so one friend suggested how if the reunion i delayed 'til 23 September. Hm... it made me think... 23rd September.. is my birthday too.. hehehehe.... Just suddenly thinking of rewarding myself by meeting those old friends, which involves lots of fate inside!!! Not a fate to be boyfriend, husband, sugar daddy and so on.. but fate in friendship!!! How many of us can still meet long lost friends that we've ever met before? Not many of them. Some more, my time staying in Jakarta was not so long. In S'pore, I only attended ONE wedding party of my school's friend. Too bad, huh?? Good thing is, dun need to worry about 'angpao', but what's the big deal? I mean, I prefer having a chance of attending my friends' wedding and give them 'angpao' for their happiness, rather than witnessing nothing and stranded alone. That's why I think I'll be going to join them for the reunion. But I just hope that many people will come on that day, 'cos I will spend lots of money on the air ticket just to be there.. *sigh.. See?? Not easy to meet so many people at the same time, especially those who stays far away.. So, now whenever I got time, I will contact them on my own effort, hoping that they will appear too at the event and like that, I won't waste my B'day wish then... =)

I feel much better with this 5 day work thing... 2 days off after 5 days work are just amazing!!!
I got much time for myself. I have enough time to iron my 5 days work' clothes. I have enough time to relax myself watching TV, or movies, or DVDs, etc. I have enough time to be with my family and others. It makes me lazy to go outside my house. Just enjoy the time passes by inside my room with this wonderful laptop, which can connect me with outside world. I have enough time to read novel, but too bad, I haven't developed the habit to read yet. hahaha...
Suddenly it makes me thing.. why not continuing my study again? Well.. I will see first. I got a feeling that I will fail my last paper.. The result will come out next next Monday. And after that paper, I felt very demotivated to continue my study actually.. Well, see lah.. if I really fail, maybe I won't continue it anymore.. To get up from the fall isn't very easy. Maybe I get bored very fast with what I do.. which is not good hor??? Aniwae, don't think gotta take any class this semester.. Wanna relax my mind first.. ciao

When you know You really love a woman

To really love a woman
To understand her
You got to know her deep inside
Hear every thought
See every dream
And give her wings
When she wants to fly
And when You find yourself lying helpless in her arms
You know You really love a woman

When You love a woman
Tell her that she's really wanted
You love a woman
Tell her that she's the One
She needs somebody
To tell her that its gonna last forever
So tell me if You ever really, really really ever love a woman

To really love a woman
Let her hold You
Till You know how she needs to be touched
You got to breathe her
Really taste her
Till You can feel her in your blood
When You can see your unborn children in her eyes
You know You really love a woman

When You love a woman
Tell her that she's really wanted
You love a woman
Tell her that she's the One
She needs somebody
To tell her that You'll always be together
So tell me if You ever really, really really ever love a woman

You got to give her some faith
Hold her tight
A little tenderness
You gotta treat her right
She will be there for You
Taking good care of You
You really gotta love your woman
And when You find yourself lying helpless in her arms
You know You really love a woman

When You love a woman
Tell her that she's really wanted
You love a woman
Tell her that she's the One
She needs somebody to tell her that its gonna last forever
So tell me if You ever really, really really ever love a woman
Just tell me if You ever really, really really ever love a woman
Just tell me if You ever really, really really ever love a woman

Just copy and paste this song lyrics from my friend's blog. I know this song, but I never know what the song lyrics are 'til today when I read it and feel like putting it in my blog too..
I guess, that's what woman wants and needs.. to be loved.. to be wanted.. and nothing else..

Harry's @Esplanade

Yesterday after work, I was straightly heading to City Hall and walk into behind Esplanade. We were supposed to head directly to Harry's but suddenly think of eating chao kway teow and prawn mee behind the building there, the open air makan sutra. It's been a long time since I ate it for the last time. But we really disappointed seeing the quality and portion of the food that we bought. The kway teow were in big size, cold, only could taste sweet, and damn small in portion (compare with previously I bought about a year ago or less..). The prawn mee were also cold, kinda soggy, less chilli, and again, damn small in portion. I swear I won't eat it again there, anymore!!! They opened a branch in Wisma Atria, and the queue was damn long.. I was just thinking, perhaps the 'famous' cook has moved over there, that's why the quality is very much different now. Really disappointed. Another friend joined us and instead of recommending him eating there, we asked him to sit at Harry's and having his dinner there. So, after finishing those food, with an expensive Tiger beer (a 330ml can costs $4.20), we moved to Harry's. My friend then ordered his dinner plus some snacks for us to eat. He ordered Nachos and spicy ball chicken. I thought the Nachos should be plain and served with condiments, but I was wrong. They put the cooked minced beef plus cheese and cut-preserved-chilli, which I think quite heavy. They also put sour cream, tomato, and avocado condiments in separate cups. Wah, so full... We talked over the work, the bombing plot in Britain, trip in US, etc. 'til 9pm then we headed back home.
I went to look for the clothes for my 'Reyka' bear, but I was surprised to see the prices. Its costs range from $22.90 to $33.90 or more. Wow.. I thought S'pore would sell cheaper, but I was wrong. I think US is still cheaper than here.. *sigh... Just think of using my baby's cloth for the bear, but I think it's still too big to 'her'. So.. just wear the princess suit for the moment ba... hehehe...
Write till here.. Gotta work again... ciao

First National Day

Yesterday was National Day. Lots of people celebrated it yesterday at the national stadium. I heard it would be the last time in that place 'cos they will renovate the stadium soon to make it bigger. I am S'porean now, but not in the mood of celebrating it, perhaps I just came back from my holiday and didn't really feel the atmosphere on it. My son did enjoy and was very happy about it. Yesterday, on the way to my bro's house, he kept seeing flags everywhere and he would keep saying "Mama, see, there is 'Mari Kita'". I told him, that's not 'Mari Kita', but it was a flag. "But teacher said, it was 'Mari Kita', "ma ri ki ta", he even spelled it the way his teacher did. I kept telling him that it was a flag, but my stubborn son kept believing that his teacher was true. *sigh....
While people celebrating, I think I felt aslept at my bro's house. When I woke up, they were all ready for dinner outside. I had had my dinner, so I planned just walking around the shopping centre nearby my bro's house with my son. But my beloved son also pulled my bro's daughter along so that I had to keep an eye both of them. Hahaha... Hm.. after holiday, I can feel that my son is now getting naughtier and I keep yelling on him.. *sigh... I really have no passion towards children. I think previously he wasn't as naughty as now. Kinda sad actually.. 'cos I feel that he is a bit out of control.
Then I stayed there till about 10pm then we went back home. I had a shower after that, washing my hair, and dry it after. I think I slept about 11.30pm at night and that's why I feel sleepy now. My colleague asked me, how was ur first national day? Hm.. actually... I feel nothing. Dunno whether it's not at the right time (for me) or maybe I don't feel sense of belonging towards this country yet... *sigh...

Simple rules to be happy

Still posted it on the wall near my desk at the office.

5 simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred
2. Free your mind from worries
3. Live simply
4. Give more
5. Expect less

I think I must always remind myself once again.. especially for the last rule, which is 'expect less'. Sometimes I think I expect too much from someone to give me more attention, care, and love and I always end up being disappointed by expecting more from them. Hehehe.. maybe my life was designed in that way.. that's why this time I must remind myself AGAIN for expecting less... ok? Can I do that?? hehehe.. hope so.. =)

5 day week

How nice it is!!! Now my company starts to implement 5 day week this month. We have to go back at 6.15pm every day from Mon to Fri (previously we go home at 6pm from Mon to Thur, then at 5.30pm on Fri, then alternate Saturday from 8.30am to 12.30pm. 15 mins later everyday won't make much different for u, and 2 days off everyweek.. that's fabulous!!!
This weekend, I spent my time at home. Yesterday evening I went to my bro's home with my son. He kept asking me to go there 'cos he wanted to play with my son's daughter.. and in another 2 months, they might not meet each other easily again, 'cos my sis-in-law plans to move to US to work with a whole family. And today, completely at home. Nice rest.. hehehe...
Today I put my trip pics at FS. Sooo.. tired... it took me hours to arrange it nicely.. hehehe... And had a very nice dinner at home with a simple rice and sambal petai.. hahahaa...
Oklah.. just write a bit on what happened this weekend... Ciao

"Kenangan Terindah" by Samsons

Aku yang lemah tanpamu
Aku yang rentan karena
Cinta yang tlah hilang
Darimu yang mampu menyanjungku

Slama mata terbuka
Sampai jantung tak berdetak
Selama itu pun aku mampu
Untuk mengenangmu

Darimu kutemukan hidupku
Bagiku kaulah cinta sejati

Bila yang tertulis untukku
Adalah yang terbaik untukmu
Kan kujadikan kau
Kenangan yang terindah dalam hidupku

Namun takkan mudah bagiku
Meninggalkan jejak hidupku
Yang tlah terukir abadi
Sebagai kenangan yang terindah

"Unfaithful" by Rihanna

Story of my life
Searching for the right
But it keeps avoiding me
Sorrow in my soul
Cause it seems that wrong
Really loves my company

He's more than a man
And this is more than love
The reason that the sky is blue
The clouds are rolling in
Because I'm gone again
And to him I just can't be true

And I know that he knows I'm unfaithful
And it kills him inside
To know that I am happy with some other guy
I can see him dying

I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
Everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be...A murderer

I feel it in the air
As I'm doing my hair
Preparing for another date
A kiss upon my cheek
As he reluctantly
Asks if I'm gonna be out late
I say I won't be long
Just hanging with the girls
A lie I didn't have to tell
Because we both know
Where I'm about to go
And we know it very well

Cause I know that he knows I'm unfaithful
And it kills him inside
To know that I am happy with some other guy
I can see him dying

I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
Everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be...
A murderer

Our love, his trust
I might as well take a gun and put it to his head
Get it over withI don't wanna do this
Anymore (anymore)

I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
And everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
And I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be...
A murderer (a murderer)

No no no no

Yeah yeah yeah

This is one of the songs that I always heard in US. I listened to it almost in every hour when we drove. There are some other nice songs too that made us dancing when we heard it anywhere at anytime.. Too much memories... hope it will always be kept inside me

Back to work again

Holiday has passed soooo fast!!!
I came back from the trip last Sunday morning at 12.40am. I felt veryyy tireddd... My hubby fetched me from the airport and we reached home around 1.30am. Didn't have mood to open my luggage at all.. so I just left it on the floor and tried to sleep.
I took Northwest Airlines from LA to Tokyo, and the journey is around 11 hours. In Narita, they informed me that I would be transferred to JAL since the NWA was overbooked.. well.. not bad oh? 'Cos I don't think I took JAL before and I had to take bus from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 (more exposure on Japan's airport.. hehehe...) and I was waiting there for about 1 hour before boarding to the plane. I was sooo tired... I only had a short sleep in the airplane, 'cos I need to change back my body's hour from LA's time to S'pore's time and I didn't want to sleep so much as I was afraid that I couldn't sleep at night's time in S'pore..
I was tempting to buy Japan's food or souvenirs.. but I was lazy to change money and I don't think it's such an important thing.. so I only waited and sat there in waiting lounge.
Then, I started to feel very different of taking both airlines. NWA's food & beverage is very limited (you even had to pay $5.00 for beer and any other alcohol beverage). Unlike JAL, they serve the wine, beer, and liquor for free. JAL also provided their guests with EVIAN, 1 bottle per guest, but you could get more if you request, unlike in NWA.. they give only limited water/ other drinks on the plane. In JAL, they have Mission Impossible 3, Ice Age 2, and other movies that were quite new. You can choose to watch it anytime you like 'cos every seat has personal screen in front, while in NWA, you have to watch the common screen in front of the sitting area and can't choose on what to watch. Well.. I was lucky to sit in JAL, but still complaining about the NWA, hihihi.. sorry.. didn't mean to.. but I just couldn't stop to share here.. =P
Back to my trip.. It was a very busy trip. I only got little time to online.. and the rest.. went out shopping, eating, and drinking.
I have experience 3 different cities in US with different weathers in each place. LA was hot but was not as hot as LV. LV was damn hot!!! But on our last two days, there was thunderstorm. First at nite, then on our way back to LA. Scary.. There was even a heavy rain while we were inside Pimmh, a factory outlet near LV. SF.. hm.. it was hot.. I got burnt there. There was a sun shine.. but the wind... brrr..... and even at nite.. it was foggy, cold like winter time.. in the middle of the city. Can u imagine? All in summer time.
Luckily I was so healthy during my trip. Thank God!! Otherwise, really can't imagine myself sleeping on my bed for few days instead of going around the city..
The food? Hm.. First week, I still controlled my portion. Second week, the worst.. In LV, we went for buffet lunch twice in MGM and Bellagio, and end of week, we ate buffet dinner in LA, like Todai (wow, they served a very excellent Japanese buffet ever!! Lots of crab legs - big and fresh, fresh oyster.., lots of varieties of sushi rolls, sushi, sashimi, etc. Hot foods were excellent too.. giant prawn tempura, vegetable tempura, lobster, fried rice, etc.. Miso soup.. Varieties of desserts.. like cakes.. fruits... etc.. for US$29.90 per person before tax.
My friend also brought me to Korean BBQ Buffet nearby her old house.. and she taught me on how to eat the BBQ using the rice roll. I think it's my first time experiencing eating in such way! I went to lots of Korean restaurants before in many different countries, but it was my first time on eating in such a way.. First, I found it too fully, 'cos imagine eating one rice roll with one meat.. but after that, we went to Seoul Oak, the fine dining Korean BBQ on my last two days in LA, and eating the same thing again, then I felt much better.. Perhaps because the roll was smaller and the meat was cut bigger. It was very nice. I miss it already!!! Dun think can find it in Korean Restaurant here in S'pore.
I love one Thai food there too, in Jasmine Thai restaurant. It was recommended by my friend to eat there as she eats there often for lunch. I love the padthai very much.. and we ate three times within 4 days we were there.. Can you imagine? hahahaha...
Third week, SF. We found SF was very different from the other two cities we went. Oh yeah.. my impression of LA.. LA is a very big city. There were lots of highways and without it, you can't reach ur destination.. hahaha.. Each road has 4-5 lanes.. very big road for one direction but still jam during peak times. They have a car pool.. those who drive min. 2 persons in one car. If you wanna go from one place to another, the distance is very far away. It took 1.5 hours from my friend's house to north LA and that's why we didn't go there 'cos it really took our time only for the journey. I seldom see people walking on the street 'cos they drive car in everywhere they go even only to have their lunch or dinner nearby their house. The house mostly only one level, the most only like two levels because of earthquake and their land is bigger than the house itself, quite funny rite? O ya, I drove too.. a short distance.. using my friend's car.. It was my first time driving using the automatic car and using the right lane instead of left lane like many Asian's countries use. I just realise on how easy driving using the automatic car. I seldom drive in my life, and when I drive, I feel funny using the gear and pedal.. but with automatic car.. all the problems fly away.. I told myself.. if one day I got a chance to buy my own car.. I would by the automatic car instead of a manual one.. hehehehe...
Las Vegas... My friend drove from LA to LV. It took us 4.5 hours drive. We saw desert almost all the time on our way there. The problem was only to find toilet. Unlike in Indonesia, where we can just stop aside and pee somewhere where can't be seen by others, at there... we can hardly stop aside the road and we had to find a restaurant or small groceries store, which are very seldom, to release the pee.. I encountered it one time in each way.
And quite amazing.. although it was a desert, they still can build Las Vegas, quite big cities with strong electricity and water inside. I was imagining LV to be like Orchard road.. but I was totally wrong!! The distance from one hotel to another was not that close and each hotel was big, even huge!!! And in such a weather.. it really hurts when u walk in the afternoon. It's either to walk at night or drive during afternoon time. Hahaha...
For SF, it's amazing to see a place like that. My other family members have been there except me and my eldest sis before I went there. And I saw their photos in SF before, but after seeing it myself.. it was really different from what I imagined. The road was very steep and taxi didn't even on their air-con, quite not used to it.. and when my friend brought me to Golden Gate... wow.. my feeling was... it was a bit looked like the Harbour Bridge in Sydney.. only my feeling..
The wind blows very big... so cold.. although the sun was shining strongly. Finally we got to know what is Pier 39 about.. And Alcatraz!!! We only realised that we need to buy the ticket at least one week earlier just about 2 days before we went there.. but luckily, we managed to buy the ticket, with more than twice price (U.P.$16.50, and we purchased at $35 per person) from the concierge of the hotel we stayed. Thanks to the concierge who worked there at that time. Without him, I wouldn't be able to go around the famous Alcatraz island. And the hotel.. I got staff's rate staying there, 'cos it is under the same management of the hotel where I work and it is famous too over there.. If you ever watched 'The Hotel' series.. or 'The Rock', they took the film down there.. According to the book that I read there, the United Nation was also held there before and US presidents were staying there too.. My friend and I went to their bar, called Tonga, which is also famous in the city ( there is a rain inside the bar/restaurant), and they had a unique name for their drinks. We drank 5 of them and it was fun. We came in quietly and went out laughing very loud *perhaps we were high.. hahahaha....
We went to Fisherman Wharf (previously I only saw it on the pics, but then I finally experienced it myself), and we had our dinner at Crab Station #2, having a fresh crab, half lobster, fried prawn and calamari, and clam chowder with the bread, and Corona too.. hehehe... I was full... but my friend just never had enough.. too bad she didn't feel very well on the last day we were there, otherwise, we can go back there again before flying back to LA.
Oya.. I also finally ate a Lemon Raspberry cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory in LA on my second last day in US. Actually we wanted to eat it in the Cheesecake Factory in SF, but only after one course, we felt very full already, that's why we cancelled the order and ate it again back in LA.
I love jamba juice!! Wish that they could open one in S'pore!!!
Well.. I think I write a lot already... now back to work again!!! hehehehe.. Ciaooo...
